The EDA University Center for Community and Economic Development at the University of Michigan-Flint focuses on several areas including economic development, innovation, entrepreneurship, community development, and technology transfer. The center aims to create partnerships with local organizations to promote initiatives that enhance digital literacy and inclusion in relation to workforce development.

Recent collaborations include efforts with GST Michigan Works, Mott Foundation, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, U.S. Economic Development Administration, and Connected Nation.
