On January 14, officers from the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office escorted runner Noah Coughlan as he traveled across the county during his nationwide run celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday. The escort began in Lima at the Ontario County line, continuing until he reached the Village of Avon, where officials spent the night.

On January 15, Coughlan continued his journey. Livingston County law enforcement provided another safety escort from Avon to Genesee County. Several law enforcement agencies from Genesee County met him to ensure a safe passage as he advanced on the route. At this time, his run is on day 91 of a 260-day journey.

Assisting agencies included the Avon Police Department, the New York State Police, Lima EMS and the Avon Fire Department.
