Nashville Opera announces three-world 2026-27 season
Nashville, Tenn. — Nashville Opera announced its 2026-27 season last night, saying it is not playing it safe. The season features three shows in three different worlds.
"Tosca", Oct. 8 and 10, 2026, at TPAC's Jackson Hall. Puccini's most cinematic thriller. A love story under siege, a corrupt police chief, and a double-cross set against the streets and churches of 1800s Rome. Stunning hand-painted Italian sets that put you inside the story.
"Fortuna the Time Bender vs. The Schoolgirls of Doom", Nov. 13-15, 2026, at The Studio at Noah Liff Opera Center. A Nashville Opera world premiere. A comic book superhero opera with a live 80s rock band, a villain named the Headmaster, and three minions called Sandy, Candy, and Mandy. Yes, really.
"The Marriage of Figaro", Apr. 15 and 17, 2027, at TPAC's Jackson Hall. Mozart's most beloved comedy, back on our stage for the first time in a decade. The sequel to Barber, powdered wigs and all. Susanna and the Countess are smarter than everyone else in the room, and they know it.
Drama. Romance. Doom. Our next season has it all.
Subscriptions and tickets are on sale now at NashvilleOpera.org/Season.
